The Role

You’ll deliver MI and self-service BI outputs used across the business - building, scheduling and maintaining reports and dashboards, working with case volumes and large datasets, and ensuring data quality and operational reliability.

  • Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards (migration to Microsoft Fabric is a key project, supported by Data Engineers)
  • Author SQL Server-based datasets, support ETL/data pipelines and enforce data quality controls
  • Schedule and operate MI across Dev, UAT and Prod; maintain documentation and runbooks
  • Translate stakeholder needs into actionable visualisations; lead sessions and present findings - must be able to “hold the room” when presenting data
  • Contribute to a central data library, control dashboards and MI health monitoring
  • Maintain and promote the Self-Service BI Platform to internal and external customers
  • Collaborate with internal teams across operations, finance, HR and external partners

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ BI/MI experience with Power BI and SQL Server essential
  • Confident presenter - able to hold a room, lead stakeholder conversations and present complex data clearly
  • Comfortable with ETL, large/complex datasets and recurring reporting cadence
  • Pragmatic, curious and collaborative - technically minded and people-focused

Desirable:

  • Microsoft-focused environment - Azure preferred
  • Experience or exposure to Microsoft Fabric migration and modern Power BI/Fabric workflows
  • Experience with SSRS, Excel-based MI and CI/CD for BI

The environment:

  • Long-term BI team with progression into Data Engineering / Data Science
  • Hybrid working (typically 3 days onsite), family-friendly culture
  • Onsite perks include gym and food pantry; regular social events and informal catch-ups
