Job Overview: As a Business Analyst you will work closely with clients, product owners, data teams, and MarTech stakeholders to capture business requirements, translate them into actionable user stories, and support the delivery of targeted, real-time personalised experiences across digital channels. You will play a key role in understanding the customer journey, mapping data and content requirements, and supporting the tracking and measurement frameworks that monitor success. You'll report to the Principal BA and work as part of an experienced technology team, with direct client exposure across concurrent engagements. This role sits at the intersection of data, marketing, and technology. We're looking for someone equally comfortable across all three.
Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery and requirements gathering for use cases across websites, apps and in-store, and as-is state.
- Work with business stakeholders to define objectives, KPIs, and customer journey goals.
- Translate requirements into clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Collaborate with IT, Data, Marketing, Product and development teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, well understood, testable, and delivered to specification.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather and validate requirements.
- Contribute to defining data and content requirements for personalisation use cases.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data projects.
- Deep understanding of marketing behavioural data, personalisation, segmentation, and customer journey orchestration.
- Experience working with MarTech platforms such as Salesforce Personalisation, Dynamic Yield, or similar.
- Ability to define data and content requirements for personalisation and activation use cases.
- Strong capability in writing user stories, epics, and process flows using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to facilitate stakeholder workshops.
- Analytical mindset.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including product, UX, developers, and data analysts.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.
- Familiarity with CDPs and tagging strategies (e.g. GA4, Adobe Analytics).
