About the Role
The UI/UX Team Lead is responsible for bridging the gap between user needs and digital product solutions by conducting user research, creating intuitive interfaces, and establishing scalable design systems. The Team Lead works closely with stakeholders, including Business Analysts, Architects, and business users, to ensure seamless usability and that designs align with both user expectations and our broader business goals.
In this role, you’ll need to understand and articulate how design components integrate into technical architecture and develop a deep understanding of our users’ diverse operational processes over time. The Team Lead will oversee the end-to-end design process—from initial user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and design system management. Your goal is to ensure that our interfaces are intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically cohesive, driving user engagement and operational efficiency across our core platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & User Research • Conduct end-to-end user research, including interviews and usability testing, to translate complex business requirements into intuitive user journeys. • Analyze user pain points and operational workflows to identify opportunities for digital innovation and product improvement.
- Design Execution & Prototyping • Lead the creation of wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes that clearly communicate complex digital solutions. • Deliver visually compelling and highly functional user interfaces (UI) that are both aesthetically aligned with the brand and optimized for ease of use. • Leverage technical understanding to transform complex system logic and technical constraints into seamless, user-friendly digital experiences.
- Design Systems & Standards • Develop, implement, and maintain a scalable Design System to ensure visual consistency and component reusability across all digital products and platforms. • Ensure all design outputs adhere to international accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and maintain high usability standards for diverse user groups. • Partner with QA and Development teams to oversee the implementation of designs, ensuring the final product matches the intended design specifications.
- Collaboration & Communication • Work closely with stakeholders to align design strategies with product roadmaps and business objectives. • Collaborate with the Development and Architect teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth hand-off of design assets and documentation. • Effectively communicate design visions, progress, and rationale to stakeholders.
Who We Are Looking For
- 3–5 years of relevant experience with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating in an international, cross-functional team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel when needed (approximately 2-3 times a year).
At Loomis, you will join a global company with a strong history and an exciting future. You will be part of a major digital transformation where your work directly contributes to solutions that make a real difference.
