Job description

Help Shape the Future of Technology at Loomis UK

Loomis UK is on an ambitious technology transformation journey. We are investing in data, automation and artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, strengthen decision-making and support future growth.

We're looking for an exceptional Data, AI & Automation Manager to lead this transformation.

Pay: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Hybrid

This is not a traditional Business Intelligence role. You'll have the opportunity to build and lead a capability that combines AI, data, analytics, automation and digital innovation to solve real business challenges and deliver measurable results across a nationwide operational business.

Who are we?

Loomis UK has a strong national presence and is part of the Loomis Group – a worldwide leader in the security sector. We provide secure, end-to-end solutions for the distribution, handling, and storage of cash and valuables for banks, retailers, and other businesses. From intelligent safes and cash-in-transit services to cash processing and ATM replenishment, we play a vital role in supporting the everyday flow of money in society.

The role

Working directly with senior leaders across Operations, Commercial, Finance, HR, Risk and Technology, you'll identify opportunities to work smarter, automate processes, improve insight and unlock new ways of working through technology. From deploying AI use cases and business automation to delivering executive dashboards and evolving our Customer Portal, your work will have a visible and lasting impact on the organisation.

In this role you will:

  • Define and deliver Loomis UK's Data, AI and Automation roadmap.
  • Lead the adoption of AI technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled business solutions.
  • Develop enterprise reporting and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities using Microsoft Power Platform and UiPath.
  • Improve data quality, governance and business insight across the organisation.
  • Lead the ongoing enhancement of the Loomis Customer Portal.
  • Manage and develop a team of Technical Analysts.
  • Partner with business leaders to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, productivity and customer experience.

About you

This role calls for an individual experienced in leading data, analytics, automation or technology transformation initiatives. You will have strong Power BI, SQL and data analysis capabilities and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of AI technologies and practical business applications.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are essential to succeed in this role, and you’ll have leadership experience and the ability to build and develop high-performing teams. A commercially focused mindset and a passion for turning ideas into measurable business outcomes will help you fulfil this role to the highest standard.

The values of our organisation - People, Service, Integrity - are fundamental to shaping our culture and the way we manage our business.

Why Loomis?

  • Opportunity to build a new strategic capability.
  • Significant visibility across the business.
  • Direct influence on our AI, automation and technology strategy.
  • Freedom to innovate and shape the future direction of the function.
  • Deliver projects that create tangible operational and customer benefits.
  • Join a business that is investing in technology, efficiency and growth.

We also have some specific security criteria that you will need to meet:

  • You must be able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks
  • You must have verifiable 5-year employment/unemployment/educational history

In return we offer the following:

  • 33 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
  • Life Assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • A safe and supportive culture
  • My Rewards – over 3000 discounts for everyday life
  • Pension scheme
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Progression opportunities

Ready to make an impact?

Join Loomis UK and help define how data, AI and automation will drive the next generation of operational excellence and customer service.

If you're passionate about using technology to drive business performance and excited by the potential of AI in the workplace, we'd love to hear from you.

Transform processes. Unlock insight. Lead innovation.
