About the Role GPS Help is a help desk at Loomis Sayles that supports the workflows and data structures of our accounting system, GPS.
We have three instances of GPS in Boston, one of which supports Loomis operations in Boston, Orinda, London, Utrecht and Singapore.
The other two instances are used by Loomis affiliates that we provide accounting services and support.
The following is a list of what might happen in a typical day.
Job Responsibilities Monitor data management reports and corporate action announcements using Bloomberg and in-house audit reports.
Daily review and resolution of data exceptions as related to GPS (accounting system) and DW (data warehouse) databases.
Resolution most often related to Security Master Data.
New security setups**Primary point of contact for end-of-day trade processing.
Trades are sent from the trading platform and often need last minute new security additions, or error out for various reasons.
This EOD process is triaged by the EOD GPS support person to resolve all trade processing before closing out for the day.
Research and resolve issues reported by users in a timely manner.
Gather requirements for new functionality, write functional specifications and assist with testing.
Work collaboratively with trading, settlements, pricing, and corporate action teams to resolve issues.
Desk hours 8:30am – 6:30pm with 10:30am – 6:00pm being the primary shift for this role.
Qualifications & Education Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent5+ years of experience in investment management industry with an emphasis on fixed income and derivative instruments, and operational or technical support Experience with Bloomberg Experience with SQL for querying, updating or adding data Experience/familiarity with Charles River Trading system is a plus.
This is not currently used by the team, but is a big part of our end of day processing and would be helpful in triaging EOD trade processing issues Proactive approach to researching problems and resolving them with careful attention to detail A customer service focused attitude with a friendly and interactive demeanor with the people we service Communication and documentation skills are very important for documenting solutions to issues.
Loomis Sayles is committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 USD.
Your starting salary will be based on your experience, skills, qualifications and local benchmarking.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award, which is based on individual and company performance.
