About the Role
This role is designed to support the financial accounting and reporting requirements of Loomis Sayles (Netherlands) B.V. and other foreign subsidiaries of Loomis Sayles.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor, prepare and submit filings for financial and asset reporting with Dutch Central Bank (DNB), Dutch Chamber of Commerce and Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).
- Assist with preparation of other accounting deliverables for certain Loomis Sayles foreign subsidiaries.
- Assist with preparing quarterly financial reports and capital requirement calculations for certain foreign subsidiaries to meet regulatory reporting requirements.
- Serve as an integral part and extension of the Boston based finance and accounting team and a local resource to facilitate in-market accounting requirements.
- Coordinate various work streams with counter parties, ensuring that supporting documentation (invoices, wire requests, approvals, etc.) is delivered timely and in accordance with policy for Loomis Sayles (Netherlands) B.V., its Paris branch and other foreign subsidiaries of Loomis Sayles.
- Assist with the daily accounting activities and monthly close process, including preparing closing, accrual, intercompany, and other entries for Loomis Sayles (Netherlands) B.V., its Paris branch and other foreign subsidiaries of Loomis Sayles.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and P&L trend analysis.
- Prepare P&L forecast and budget of certain foreign subsidiaries.
- Assist with preparing internal management financial reporting on a monthly and ad-hoc basis.
- Prepare annual financial statements of Loomis Sayles (Netherlands) B.V.
- Assist external auditors with annual audits of Loomis Sayles (Netherlands) B.V. and other foreign subsidiaries.
- Work with local country tax and accounting service provider to complete tax filings including VAT filing, corporate income tax filings.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Bachelor's in accounting or finance with CPA or Chartered Accountant certification.
- Required to be professionally fluent in Dutch and English. French is preferred.
- Netherlands based.
- 5-7+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting firm and/or Corporate Finance in the Asset Management industry.
- Strong understanding of IFRS requirements, Dutch GAAP and French GAAP.
- Financial reporting, tax reporting and compliance filing experience with Dutch regulator including Dutch Central Bank (DNB), Dutch Chamber of Commerce, Dutch Tax Administration and Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).
- Technologically savvy with MS Excel skills and general ledger software (e.g. Infor) experience is a plus.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt in dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrate consistency in meeting deadlines with quality work product.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external parties.
