The predicted salary is between 29970 - 36483 £ per year.
We are currently expanding our team to meet the needs of our growing practice population and looking to employ an additional Registered Nurse to provide essential General Practice Nurse activity. Practice Nurse experience is preferred but not essential as training and support will be given to the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients in accordance with the policies, procedures and guidelines of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Chronic Disease Management
- Cervical screening
- Immunisations and injections
- Wound care
- Clinical record keeping
- Mentoring Health Care Assistants, Assistant Practitioners and Students
- Involvement in auditing and quality control
- Work according to the NMC code of professional conduct
The above is not an exhaustive list of expected duties to be undertaken. Full training and competencies will be given to ensure that the post holder has the appropriate skills to undertake the above. This list can be added to at yearly appraisal in keeping with service development and changing roles expected of the Practice Nurse.
About us
Loomer Medical Partnership is a large 7 site GP practice in Newcastle-Under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent, offering GP services to approx. 35,000 patients. We have a large Nursing team which includes HCAs, Nursing Associates, Trainee Nursing Associates, General Practice Nurses, and ACPs.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- A suitably qualified and registered Nurse, eligible to work in the UK
Experience
- Clinical skills ideally cervical cytology, immunisation, although training can be provided
- Knowledge of patient group directions and associated policy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- I.T. skills we use Systmone software (training will be given)
- Ability to pass an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau / Disclosure Barring Service Check
