The Role

The Warehouse Operations Manager (PM Shift) - 3PL Contract Logistics will play a critical role in leading all activities across a fast-paced operation in Derbyshire, operating within a Multi-User, Open & Closed Book, 250,000+ sq. ft. site. This position is a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting Line: Reporting to the site Assistant General Manager.
  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational activities, including warehousing, distribution, strategy, continuous improvement and projects.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing, collective site operational team (up to 150+ employees) through managerial direct reports.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain an already impressive, strong customer relationship base, ensuring ongoing satisfaction.
  • Performance Metrics: Continue to evolve the organisational approach to KPI's, whilst ensuring existing and new site standardisation.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practice.
  • Process Optimisation: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

The Candidate

The successful candidate for the Warehouse Operations Manager (PM Shift) - 3PL Contract Logistics opportunity will have the following skills and experiences:

  • A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background - Essential.
  • A minimum of 5+ years Operations Manager / Senior Shift Operations Manager experience - Essential.
  • Proven 3PL Multi-User experience required - Essential.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams - Essential.
  • Managed a team of over 100 heads - Essential.
  • An individual truly excited by large scale growth challenges - Essential.
  • Commutable to Derbyshire 5 x days per week - Essential.
