Shift Pattern: The role works to a (06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00) Rotating 4 On 4 Off Shift Pattern.
This is a dual-role position combining hands-on warehouse operations with a strong focus on training, coaching, and promoting a safe working environment. You will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency while upholding the highest health & safety standards across the site for the facility in a timely fashion with a go-live fast approaching.
Operating within a dedicated customer facility in excess of 600,000 sq. ft. working to a site wide rotating shift pattern AM & Nights 4 on 4 off, with a projected headcount of 1,000 in peak periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out warehouse tasks (as trained) to support the smooth flow of stock from receipt through to dispatch
- Operate MHE equipment safely and efficiently in line with site procedures
- Ensure all site training requirements are completed and accurately recorded in line with company policy
- Deliver MHE inductions for new operatives
- Coach, mentor, and retrain MHE Operatives to maintain high skill levels and reduce risk
- Monitor and assess operator competence, ensuring standards are consistently met
- Ensure refresher training is completed within required timeframes
- Identify hazards and implement effective control measures
- Support and contribute to MHE-related accident investigations
- Assist in the creation and review of MHE risk assessments
- Deliver post-incident training and reassessments where required
- Actively promote and lead a strong Health & Safety culture on site
The Candidate:
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background - Essential
- ITSSAR or RTITB accredited MHE Trainer - Essential
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and processes - Essential
- Excellent awareness of health & safety, with the confidence to challenge unsafe practices - Essential
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) - Essential
- High level of diligence and attention to detail - Essential
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills - Essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Essential
- Proven 3PL Warehousing experience required - Advantageous
- Exposure to a successful & sizeable start up operations - Advantageous
- An individual truly excited by large scale growth challenges - Essential
- Able to work on a permanent 4 on 4 off shift pattern, set shift times (Rotational) - Essential
- Commutable to Lutterworth area 4 x days per week - Essential
