The Company Loom Talent Limited have been exclusively engaged by an established global 3PL provider on a Warehouse General Manager vacancy, who have a primary focus on delivering unrivalled levels of service and innovative warehousing solutions across the UK.
The Warehouse General Manager will play a critical role in leading all activity across a key UK DC operation in Redditch, Worcestershire operating within a Multi-User, Open & Closed Book. This position is a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting Line: Reporting to the Regional Logistics Director.
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational activities, including warehousing, distribution, strategy, continuous improvement and projects.
- Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing, collective site operational team (up to 600+ employees) through managerial direct reports.
- Commercial Responsibility & Budget Management: Develop and manage the operational site budget in excess of £40m, ensuring financial objectives are achieved while maintaining service & quality.
- Performance Metrics: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Manage UK commercial relationships with customers, suppliers and third-party service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective services.
The successful candidate for the Warehouse General Manager opportunity will have the following skills and experiences:
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background - Essential.
- A minimum of 5+ years General Manager / Senior General Manager / Regional General Manager experience - Essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Prior commercial knowledge of the UK logistics and warehousing market.
- Commutable to Redditch, Worcestershire 5 x days per week - Essential.
