Loom Talent are delighted to be supporting one of our National Accounts with a number of Transport Team Manager & Planner vacancies at their Feltham DC. Due to the continued success and growth of our client, they are opening a new Distribution site and require additional talent across Transport Operations. Working as part of this busy team, you will play a vital role coordinating the movement of goods across the country in a safe and efficient way.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Route and load Planning using in-house Transport Management System.
- Providing a high level of support to all drivers and front line staff.
- Working with outsourced transport partners to ensure a cost-effective solution is provided.
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure goods are scheduled and dispatched appropriately and to the plan.
- Tracking and Monitoring.
- Ensuring all documentation and reports are completed, distributed and appropriately recorded.
- Providing world class service to customers, keeping them informed of any changes to the plan as required and building strong relationships.
- Identify possible areas that require improvements within the department and proactively find appropriate solutions.
To be successful in this role you will meet the following criteria:
- Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern for either fixed days or fixed nights - Essential.
- Previous experience of Transport Supervision and Planning with a strong knowledge of the challenges faced - Essential.
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines - Essential.
- A positive mindset and willingness to work as part of a large team to achieve common goals - Essential.
- Previous experience working with some TMS and Planning systems as well as the ability to quickly learn new systems - Essential.
