The Role:
As a Transport Planner, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods across the UK. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the daily routing of vehicles to maximise efficiency and minimise costs. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that deliveries are completed on time, customers are satisfied, and our fleet operates smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement efficient transport plans to meet customer delivery requirements. You'll ensure that all routes are optimised for time and cost-effectiveness.
- Driver Coordination: Communicate with drivers throughout the day to manage schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans as necessary in response to traffic, delays, or customer changes.
- Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their requirements are met and any issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
