The Client

As a key player in the industry, they pride themselves on a commitment to delivering excellence service, now seeking a Transport Manager to oversee the Leeds location.
The Role
The Transport Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing end to end operations, leading all group transport activity / operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a small Administration & Planning team along with c. 50 drivers.
- Lead all operational H&S, Compliance and Fleet Maintenance agendas across the Transport operation.
- Ensuring seamless coordination and optimisation of logistics operations from an internal synergy and continuous improvement perspective.
- Implementing best practices whilst ensuring sufficient usage of the TMS platform.
- To help support and develop individuals, provide developmental opportunities within the business.
The Candidate
The successful candidate for the Transport Manager position will possess:
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background – Essential.
- A CPC National / International qualification, demonstrating your deep understanding of transportation regulations – Essential.
- 3+ years Transport management experience within a 3PL / FMCG / Food / Haulage or Retail environment – Essential.
- Proven experience in managing 50+ vehicles – Essential.
- Sub-contract management experience – Advantageous.
- A true passion for people development, providing excellent service and continuous improvement – Advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence – Essential.
- Commutable to the Leeds region each day – Essential.
