Transport Compliance Manager
A well‑established, rapidly growing UK business with a nationwide operation is seeking a Transport Compliance Manager to take ownership of driver and vehicle compliance across a substantial national fleet. Reporting to the Head of Transport, this role central to maintaining operational safety, legal compliance, and efficiency across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all vehicle compliance records – service history, MOTs, brake tests, LOLER.
- Manage a rolling 12‑month maintenance schedule.
- Conduct and lead 6‑monthly compliance audits.
- Oversee defect reporting, investigation, and resolution.
- Monitor driver hours and tachograph data via Tachomaster.
- Investigate missing mileage, card issues, and lead‑in time compliance.
- Liaise with the transport team to communicate compliance updates.
- Ensure third‑party suppliers meet all legal and safety obligations.
Key Experience
- Proven experience as a Transport Compliance Manager within a logistics, distribution and supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of DVSA regulations and tachograph legislation.
- Proficient with digital compliance systems (e.g., Tachomaster).
- Organised, accurate, and detail‑focused.
