Site Manager - Motherwell - £65,000 Car Allowance & Bonus The Role This Site Manager opportunity is with a well-established distribution business based in Motherwell, taking full ownership of both warehouse and transport operations across a busy logistics site. The business is looking for an experienced Site Manager who can lead from the front, develop strong operational teams and drive performance across service, compliance, productivity and cost. Working closely with the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain function, you'll have overall responsibility for site performance, ensuring both warehouse and transport operations work effectively together while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong understanding of both disciplines, alongside a National Transport Manager CPC qualification.
Key responsibilities
Taking full operational responsibility for warehouse and transport functions across the site Leading, coaching and developing warehouse and transport management teams Driving performance across service, productivity, fleet utilisation and operational KPIs Ensuring full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, DVSA regulations, drivers' hours and Working Time Directive Managing site budgets, labour planning and operational costs Overseeing warehouse performance across inbound, storage, picking and dispatch Monitoring fleet performance, vehicle availability and transport planning efficiency Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, compliance and operational governance Working closely with the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain teams to improve end-to-end operational performance Driving Continuous Improvement initiatives across warehousing, transport and site processes Key experience Proven experience as a Site Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager or senior logistics leader Strong operational background covering both warehouse and transport management National Transport Manager CPC qualification is essential Experience managing sizeable operational teams within distribution, retail or 3PL environments Strong understanding of Operator Licence requirements and transport compliance Experience managing warehouse KPIs, labour productivity and operational performance Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs Demonstrable success delivering Continuous Improvement across warehouse and transport functions Experience working within a Logistics distribution and supply chain environment A proactive, hands-on leadership style with strong communication and people management skills This Site Manager role in Motherwell offers a basic salary of £65,000, alongside a car allowance and performance-related bonus.
