Looking to be part of a business who are on a major growth journey? The Company We\’re working with a UK based, market leading manufacturing business, who have a highly impressive and diverse portfolio. Seeking a Production Supervisor to add to their established team, you will be joining at a very pivotal time. This role is an on site position based in Staffordshire. The Role Manage a Team of x4 Direct reports and circa x110 in-directs. Drive continuous improvements within the area through the SQCDP measures, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability . Build and maintain direct relationships with customers, providing clear communication on all aspects of day-to-day operations. Implement actions to reduce or mitigate off-track hours against the visual plan. Accurately record planned downtime, including classroom training and project time. Ensure team engagement with targets and objectives. Validate and approve production hours in the ERP system. Constantly strive for productivity gains through VA activity and removal or 8 wastes. Escalate relevant issues promptly to the Production Manager. Collaborate with the H&S officer and committee to reduce risks in the area through effective risk assessments. Ensuring Safe working environment for staff. (Safety Controls Audits) Investigate accidents and enforce all safety controls (method statements) in the area. Conduct return-to-work interviews to ensure the fitness of staff returning after absence. Carry out full Investigations and provide clear accurate responses to Customer Concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring delivery of the below Service Level Agreement. (SLA) Ensuring accurate internal data capture and the daily Logging and Recording reject data within the QA System Engage team in CI activities, Kaizen, 5S and problem-solving activities (Project Charters, Challenge Zero) The Candidate The successful candidate for the Production Supervisor opportunity will have the following skills and experiences: 5+ years of Supervisory / Management experience in a Manufacturing and Production environment – Essential Familiarity with problem-solving, lean thinking and lean manufacturing techniques such as Kaizen, 5S, CI – Essential In-depth understanding of production processes – Essential. Good knowledge of ERP / SQCDP – Essential Computer literacy in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint presentation skills – Essential Be commutable to Staffordshire – Essential. The Salary & Benefits Package Salary – £32,000 – £36,000 Working hours: Monday – Thursday (07:00am – 17:00) Holidays – 20 + BH and 1 additional day to celebrate birthday. Critical Illness insurance.
