Loom Talent are exclusively supporting a leading national logistics and supply chain business in the search for an experienced Operations Manager - FMCG & Warehouse, to join a high-profile warehousing operation in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven logistics professional to take ownership of a fast-paced, complex warehouse environment. Reporting directly into the General Manager, the successful candidate will play a key leadership role across the operation, driving performance, engagement, service excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day warehouse operational activities across a complex, high-volume site
- Deliver consistently high service levels against challenging customer KPIs and SLAs
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Manage, develop and motivate large operational teams within a fast-moving logistics environment
- Support succession planning and talent development across the operation
- Ensure strong employee engagement and effective site-wide communication
- Maintain a positive Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance and operational best practice
- Manage operational costs and budgets to achieve financial targets and productivity improvements
- Build strong customer relationships and maintain a professional partnership approach
- Identify and implement process improvements and visual management techniques across the warehouse operation
Candidate Profile
- Proven Operations Management experience within logistics, warehousing or supply chain environments
- Experience managing high-volume, service-led warehouse operations
- Strong people leadership and team development capability
- Demonstrated experience driving KPI performance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and productivity targets
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive, resilient and highly organised approach
- Strong IT skills including MS Office packages
