The Role
The Continuous Improvement Manager - 3PL Contract Logistics will work closely with regional and site leadership teams to identify, develop, and implement improvement initiatives across warehousing and transport operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading continuous improvement projects across multiple logistics operations.
- Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and customer service.
- Using operational data and performance metrics to drive informed decision‑making.
- Conducting detailed process analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Developing and implementing improvement strategies that deliver measurable operational and financial benefits.
- Supporting site leadership teams in embedding best practice and sustainable change.
- Facilitating cross‑functional collaboration to ensure successful project delivery.
- Driving Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies throughout the business.
- Coaching and supporting operational teams through change management initiatives.
- Monitoring project outcomes and ensuring improvements are maintained long‑term.
- Supporting the wider business strategy through operational excellence initiatives.
- Commutable to the Northampton area.
The Candidate
The successful candidate for the Warehouse Continuous Improvement Manager - 3PL Contract Logistics opportunity will have the following skills and experience:
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential.
- Previous Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Process Improvement, or Change Management experience - Essential.
- A Mechanical Engineering background s a strong client preference - Advantageous.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable operational improvements - Essential.
- understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Prince2 or equivalent Continuous Improvement methodologies - Essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and utilise operational data - Essential.
- Experience working within warehousing operations, ideally from within a 3PL setting - Highly Desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills - Essential.
- Strong communication and project management capabilities - Essential.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational management systems - Essential.
- Ability to travel internationally as required - Essential.
