Loom Talent are partnering exclusively with a manufacturing giant with sites across the UK. They are looking for a Head of HR to run a busy site in Manchester on a contract basis. This site of approximately 150 employees sits as part of a brand within a much larger organisation, giving it stability and consistency but room to grow.
The Role
- You will sit on, and partner with the senior leadership team, working closely with them to ensure the smooth running of the site from an HR perspective.
- Turn your hand to everything and anything, be that supporting the site from an operational perspective when needed or developing and rolling out the people strategy.
- Manage all HR focused projects focusing on embedding cultural changes, employee engagement and business transformation.
- Manage a team of 4 HR and administrative employees supporting their personal development and day-to-day activities.
- Maintain the site's already strong union relationships.
What they are looking for
- Comfortable operating at both a strategic and 'boots on the ground' level.
- Experience working in a similar blue-collar organisation - FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, food etc.
- Experience working and maintaining relationships with unions.
- You will be immediately available, coming to the end of a contract or on short notice.
- This role will suit someone who enjoys hitting the ground running and adding value in a contract role, someone coming from a senior level, be that HR BP, HR Manager or Head of HR but with the confidence to still do that day to day.
