The Role The Transport Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing end to end operations, leading all group transport activity / operations. Your responsibilities will include: Managing a small Administration & Planning team along with c. 50 drivers. Lead all operational H&S, Compliance and Fleet Maintenance agendas across the Transport operation. Ensuring seamless coordination and optimisation of logistics operations from an internal synergy and continuous improvement perspective. Implementing best practices whilst ensuring sufficient usage of the TMS platform. To help support and develop individuals, provide developmental opportunities within the business. The Candidate The successful candidate for the Transport Manager position will possess: A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background – Essential. A CPC National / International qualification, demonstrating your deep understanding of transportation regulations – Essential. 3+ years Transport management experience within a 3PL / FMCG / Food / Haulage or Retail environment – Essential. Proven experience in managing 50+ vehicles – Essential. Sub-contract management experience – Advantageous.
