The Client
Loom Talent have been retained by an emerging, European 3PL client in search of a Warehouse Solutions Engineer. Our client prides themselves on delivering exceptional logistics and supply chain solutions to a diverse, multi-site, multi-user client base. Their commitment to innovation and excellence has positioned them to a global level, whilst having ambitious growth plans for the UK over the next 5+ years. They are now intent on expanding the team with a talented UK Warehouse Solutions Engineer.
The Role
The Warehouse Solutions Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and implementing both new and existing warehousing solutions for our varied client sectors. Your expertise in AutoCAD and warehouse automation will be highly desirable as you work to design, plan, and optimise our client's warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisations Warehouse biased UK Solutions Design offering.
- Design and implement bespoke, functional warehouse solutions tailored to client needs, whilst reducing cost and improving customer service.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing warehouse operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilise AutoCAD to create optimum, detailed orientated warehouse layouts and designs.
- Integrate warehouse automation technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the project life cycle.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in warehouse solutions and automation.
The Candidate
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential.
- 1-2+ years proven experience in Logistics Engineering / Warehouse Solutions Design - Essential.
- 1+ year's experience working for a 3PL warehousing provider in a Solutions Design capacity - Preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software along with Microsoft Excel - Essential.
- A basic to strong understanding of warehouse automation technologies and their applications (e.g. AMR's, AGV's, Robotics, AI, Conveyor Systems) - Advantageous.
- Highly numerate with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Essential.
- A proven ability to manage multiple projects / tenders and meet deadlines - Essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise and present with / to clients, internal teams and key stakeholders - Essential.
- A full UK driving license - Essential.
- Commutable to the Leicestershire / Midlands area for c. 2-3 days per week, whilst working to a hybrid working schedule.
The Package
- Salary - £55,000 to £65,000.
