Based in South London, this role will ensure accurate receipt and proper storage of products, support inventory accuracy and provide data-driven insights and investigations into stock discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- Risk Management: Proactively and reactively manage risks to stock using data insights and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Inventory Accuracy: Maintain exceptional stock accuracy, driving corrective actions where variances or process gaps are identified.
- Budget Control: Oversee inventory-related costs and overheads, ensuring they remain within budget through robust control measures.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate stock discrepancies, count overrides, supplier credit claims, and uplifts, escalating significant issues when required.
- Security Oversight: Protect site assets by managing access control, CCTV, alarms, van security, and coordinating searches in line with policy.
- Regulatory Compliance: Support adherence to legislative and regulatory requirements through regular audits, inspections, and best-practice implementation.
- Leadership & Development: Provide strong leadership, coaching, and development to the team, ensuring skills and knowledge evolve with business needs.
- Performance & Safety: Monitor KPIs, contribute to leadership meetings and ensure full compliance with Health & Safety responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Experience managing a stock control function in a comparable operational environment.
- Strong operational and process knowledge with the ability to optimise workflows.
- Proven track record in leading and directing investigations into stock loss and damages.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience overseeing security standards and ensuring clear communication and adherence across the site.
Competitive salary and benefits, including a car allowance. The role reports to the site general manager and sits as part of the senior leadership team for the site.
