A well-established, fast-paced business operating nationally is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Logistics and Operations Director to lead and scale its operational function across multiple sites in the UK.
This confidential appointment requires a resilient and driven leader with a proven track record of managing complex logistics, distribution, and supply chain operations. You will be instrumental in shaping and delivering strategic plans, driving performance, and ensuring operational excellence across production, transport, customer service, and procurement functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor General Managers and the National Transport Manager across multiple sites.
- Ensure all operational activity aligns with Health & Safety, HR, and company policies.
- Develop, control, and deliver operational budgets that support commercial objectives.
- Forecast volumes and ensure adequate resource planning to meet customer demand.
- Drive continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and cost-efficiency.
- Act as the key advisor on all operational matters and influence wider business strategy.
- Deliver the annual operational plan and support long-term growth targets.
- Entrepreneurial, energetic, and commercially minded.
- Extensive experience in operational leadership roles within a logistics distribution and supply chain environment.
