Loom Talent are partnering exclusively with a major player in the wholesale/distribution world to recruit a HR Advisor - ER for their Leicester site. This is a busy, varied role within a busy ER team, supporting an operational workforce of approximately 1200 employees - perfect if you enjoy being right at the heart of employee relations and problem solving. This role is an initial 6 month FTC with the potential of extension.
What you will be doing:
- Providing consistent and practical advice on complex ER matters - disciplinary, grievance, gross misconduct, absence, performance etc.
- Guiding managers through investigations and appeals, ensuring all documentation is spot on and coaching on best practice.
- Leading on sickness absence management: attending meetings, preparing letters, advising on occupational health referrals.
- Coaching managers on policy, best practice and soft skills people management.
- Ensuring ER cases are managed in line with company policies, escalating complex issues where needed.
- Advising on terms & conditions, policy interpretation and probation reviews.
- Maintaining accurate ER records, casework databases and reporting on trends.
- Building strong working relationships across the business, acting as a credible and trusted ER partner.
- Supporting wider HR/ER work including transformation and change projects.

- Experience in ER case management with confidence advising managers independently and being the decision maker in the meeting where needed.
- Strong understanding of employment law, process and policy.
- Experience in a blue collar work environment.
- Ability to commit to 6 months initially.
