A well-established, growing business is looking for a hands-on Group Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations and lead a small team. This is a broad, operational role for an accountant who wants to stay close to the numbers while also managing a team, not a purely strategic or people-leadership position.

The Role:

  • Reporting into the Head of Finance and sitting within a wider finance function, you’ll be the go-to person for the finance function’s operational output, including:
  • Month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Accounts payable management
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Leading and developing a small team
  • Acting as a hands-on accountant first, and a people manager second

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified or part-qualified accountant with solid, hands-on month-end and reconciliation experience
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring a small team
  • Someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves; this isn’t a role for a manager who has stepped away from the technical work
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a broad, varied workload
