This is a senior Site General Manager (Warehouse) position leading a large-scale retail distribution operation for a globally recognised brand. You'll have full ownership of a high-volume warehouse site, responsible for operational performance, people leadership, and delivering best-in-class service across the retail supply chain.
You'll be leading from the front in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment - driving efficiency, embedding standards, and building a culture that delivers consistently. This is a role for someone who knows how to run a distribution centre properly, not just report on it.
Key Responsibilities- Full operational ownership of a retail distribution warehouse, delivering against service, cost, and efficiency targets
- Lead and develop a large, multi-layered team across warehouse, operations, and support functions
- Drive performance across inbound, storage, and outbound distribution activity
- Own site-level P&L, budgets, and cost control within a high-volume supply chain environment
- Implement and maintain best-in-class health & safety and compliance standards
- Optimise warehouse processes, layout, and resource utilisation to improve throughput and accuracy
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships across the wider supply chain network
- Deliver continuous improvement initiatives across operations, systems, and people performance
- Proven experience as a Site General Manager / General Manager within a logistics distribution and supply chain environment
- Strong background managing large-scale warehouse operations in a fast-moving retail supply chain
- Full P&L ownership with a clear track record of improving site performance
- Experience leading large teams (including middle management layers) within a distribution centre environment
- Deep understanding of warehouse operations, transport interfaces, and end-to-end supply chain flow
- A hands-on, visible leader who drives standards and accountability across the site
- Experience working within structured, high-performance environments (ideally with recognised retail or FMCG brands)
