Our client is a leading supplier of medical aesthetic products and services and are actively seeking a Quality Manager for their brand-new site startup. The business is entering an exciting new phase of growth and investment. The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Quality & Responsible Person, the successful candidate will take a leading role in supporting the successful launch and ongoing operation of their new Midlands distribution centre. As the site Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GDP, GMP and GPhC requirements while supporting the development and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems across the business. Working closely with operational, commercial and regulatory teams, you will help establish a strong quality culture, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure the safety, integrity and compliance of products throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Start-Up & Quality Leadership: Support the quality and compliance activities associated with the launch of a new Midlands distribution centre. Help establish robust quality systems, procedures and controls to support operational readiness. Promote a proactive quality culture across the new site and wider business. Support the implementation of best practices that ensure compliance and operational excellence from day one.
  • Quality & Regulatory Compliance: Act as the Responsible Person (RP) in accordance with the businesses WDA(H) licence requirements. Support the implementation and maintenance of GDP, GMP and GPhC regulatory standards. Provide oversight and support for operational licences, including WDA(H) and MS licences. Assist the Head of Quality in maintaining compliance across all Management System.
  • Management: Oversee and maintain key elements of the Quality Management System (QMS), including document control, change control, deviations and CAPAs, complaint management, and validation activities. Develop, review and improve quality procedures, protocols and documentation. Support customer and supplier qualification and requalification activities. Manage outsourced activity qualification processes.
  • Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Conduct quality risk assessments and support risk mitigation activities. Investigate temperature excursions and perform impact assessments. Manage product recall activities when required. Analyse quality metrics and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality systems and processes.
  • Auditing & Training: Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections. Deliver and maintain GDP/GMP training programmes across the organisation. Host and coordinate Quality Management Review meetings. Provide expert QA guidance and support to cross-functional teams. Support communications with regulators, suppliers and customers on quality-related matters.

Candidate:

The successful candidate for the role of Quality Manager will have the following skills and experiences:

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three years' experience within a pharmaceutical Quality Assurance environment.
  • A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background.
  • Strong knowledge of GDP, GMP and broader GxP requirements.
  • Experience managing Quality Management Systems within a regulated environment.
  • Previous Responsible Person (RP) experience operating under a WDA(H) licence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exposure to a successful & sizeable start-up operation.
  • Commutable to Northamptonshire area 4 x days per week.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting site start-up, expansion or operational change projects.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge or experience.
  • Experience operating under similar licence conditions.
