Inbound Operations Manager – Parts Distribution
📍 Sheffield | 💷 £50,000 + benefits
Permanent | Full-time | On-site
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll be responsible for all inbound activity across a busy distribution centre, managing everything from container arrivals and goods receipt to putaway, space management, and supplier issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the inbound team and setting daily priorities
- Ensuring timely, accurate booking-in and stock handling
- Liaising with suppliers and hauliers to coordinate deliveries
- Driving process improvement across receiving, QC, and putaway
- Working closely with inventory and purchasing to flag discrepancies and shortages
- Ensuring health & safety standards are upheld at all times
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment
- Strong understanding of parts, inventory, or technical products
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, high-SKU environment
- Confident using ERP or WMS systems (ideally barcoding/scanning)
- A hands-on, solutions-focused approach – someone who can spot an issue and sort it
- Based in or commutable to Sheffield
