Up to £34,000 p.a. Onsite in South Leicester. Loom Talent are currently partnering with an engineering/manufacturing business with a headcount of approximately 100 employees across two sites in Leicester and Birmingham. They are looking for a HR Officer to join them on a permanent basis reporting into the HR Manager. This business has recently gone through an exciting period of change along with some site growth, and therefore alongside the day-to-day there will be some exciting incoming projects to be involved in.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with managers throughout the recruitment process, from taking role briefs and advertising vacancies to coordinating interviews and making offers to successful candidates.
- Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers on a range of employee relations matters, supporting them through formal processes, meetings and best practice while building their confidence in managing people issues.
- Coordinate the onboarding experience for new starters, including delivering site inductions and ensuring a smooth transition into the business.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support the day-to-day administration of the HR function, ensuring all documentation is completed efficiently and confidentially.
- Manage and utilise HR systems to produce reports, support data accuracy and provide guidance to employees on system processes and functionality.
Projects:
- Look into site turnover, partner with managers and execute exit interviews to understand what can be done to improve retention.
- Revamp of the recruitment and onboarding process - they do currently have processes, but they do need some streamlining.
- Manage employee engagement survey - reporting on findings and establishing a plan of action based on the results.
