This Head of Quality and Compliance is a key leadership role - ideal for someone who knows what 'good' looks like and can build the systems and processes to make it happen.
You will take ownership of the quality strategy across product sourcing, manufacturing, and aftersales - ensuring consistency between UK operations and Asia-based partners. You will oversee the quality team, manage the QC platform (Qarma), and ensure all products, components, and instruction manuals meet both regulatory requirements and internal standards. In short: you will make sure what leaves the factory is something you would be proud to have in your own home.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and delivering a company-wide Quality Control strategy
- Working closely with sourcing and manufacturing teams in Asia to align on standards and expectations
- Using Qarma to monitor inspection data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement
- Managing spare parts and components to support aftersales and minimise customer downtime
- Ensuring full compliance with local and international regulations
- Acting as the bridge between Buying, Merchandising, Warehouse and Sourcing teams
- Leading and developing a small team focused on quality, accuracy, and accountability
- Proven experience in a Head of Quality and Compliance role within retail or consumer goods, ideally furniture or homeware and within a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment.
- A data-driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experience using QC platforms (Qarma or similar)
- Excellent communication skills to bridge teams and regions
- Practical project management capability - able to coordinate across departments and deliver without drama
- Live within a commutable distance of Leeds with ability for global travel
