About the Role

This is a hands-on Transport Supervisor / Manager position within a fast-paced retail distribution environment. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of transport operations, ensuring deliveries are executed on time, in full, and in line with compliance standards. You'll sit at the centre of the operation - coordinating drivers, managing routes, and keeping the wheels turning across a busy retail supply chain. It's a role for someone who's comfortable being on the ground, solving problems in real time, and keeping standards high.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transport operations across a retail distribution network
  • Manage driver schedules, route planning, and delivery performance
  • Ensure full compliance with transport regulations (drivers' hours, WTD, vehicle checks)
  • Act as the first point of contact for drivers, handling issues and resolving disruptions quickly
  • Monitor KPIs across service, cost, and efficiency
  • Work closely with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure smooth end-to-end operations
  • Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service
