Role: Transport Operations AdministratorLocation: WakefieldSalary: £29,000 - £30,000 (Capability to earn £35,000 PA)Shift: 4 on 4 off (06:00 - 18:00)

A leading distribution business is seeking a Transport Operations Administrator to join their busy team in Wakefield. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Transport Team with day-to-day operations, compliance, and administration.

We're looking for someone with strong Transport Operations Administration experience in a fast-paced distribution environment - someone flexible, detail-focused, and confident stepping up to cover for the Transport Supervisor when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front-of-house driver management - pre-briefs, de-briefs, handing out keys & paperwork
  • Assist Supervisors with Track & Trace of fleet and Haulage Hub portal monitoring
  • Support ESP compliance tasks and transport compliance admin (driver infringements, OSS trailer input, Convey & Key2 admin)
  • Ensure PODs and paperwork are accurate and managed promptly (including InMotion management)
  • Handle customer and supplier queries/complaints from investigation through to resolution
  • Maintain accurate data entry across Verify, ESP and Key2 systems
  • Step up and provide Supervisor cover when required
  • Help maintain a safe and compliant working environment in line with H&S policy

Key Requirements

  • Previous Transport Operations Administrator experience within a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment.
  • Strong IT skills - especially Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Excellent numeracy and attention to detail
  • Clear and confident communication skills - written & verbal
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and work to deadlines in a busy environment
  • Flexible, proactive and a strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • Live within a commutable distance of Wakefield
