Role: Transport Operations AdministratorLocation: WakefieldSalary: Β£29,000 β Β£30,000 (Capability to earn Β£35,000 PA)Shift: 4 on 4 off (06:00 β 18:00)
A leading distribution business is seeking a Transport Operations Administrator to join their busy team in Wakefield. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Transport Team with day-to-day operations, compliance, and administration.
We're looking for someone with strong Transport Operations Administration experience in a fast-paced distribution environment β someone flexible, detail-focused, and confident stepping up to cover for the Transport Supervisor when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-of-house driver management β pre-briefs, de-briefs, handing out keys & paperwork
- Assist Supervisors with Track & Trace of fleet and Haulage Hub portal monitoring
- Support ESP compliance tasks and transport compliance admin (driver infringements, OSS trailer input, Convey & Key2 admin)
- Ensure PODs and paperwork are accurate and managed promptly (including InMotion management)
- Handle customer and supplier queries/complaints from investigation through to resolution
- Maintain accurate data entry across Verify, ESP and Key2 systems
- Step up and provide Supervisor cover when required
- Help maintain a safe and compliant working environment in line with H&S policy
Key Requirements
- Previous Transport Operations Administrator experience within a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment.
- Strong IT skills β especially Microsoft Word & Excel
- Excellent numeracy and attention to detail
- Clear and confident communication skills β written & verbal
- Ability to prioritise, organise and work to deadlines in a busy environment
- Flexible, proactive and a strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Live within a commutable distance of Wakefield
