Payroll Officcer (with additional projects!)
Β£30,000p.a. - Β£34,000p.a.
Permanent role
Hybrid Working (onsite initially close to Northampton)
Loom Talent are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation in Northamptonshire to recruit a Payroll Coordinator on a permanent basis.
Joining a small and busy team, this is a varied role covering both day to day payroll and addition projects. You'll play an important part in making sure payroll data is accurate and ready for processing, whilst also supporting a range of generalist hr activity.
This would suit someone who enjoys working with numbers and data, has a great eye for detail and is confident working independently in a role where there's plenty to get involved in.
The Role
- Support the preparation and checking of monthly payroll data prior to processing.
- Carry out detailed checks across pay, pensions and other payroll information to ensure accuracy.
- Support the administration of a range of employee benefits and reward programmes.
- Work with large data sets and use Excel to analyse, manipulate and reconcile information.
- Respond to payroll and low level HR queries, working with colleagues across the wider business where needed.
- Identify discrepancies and follow these through to resolution.
- Provide general support across the payroll and HR function as required.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with previous experience in a payroll, HR, reward or similar coordination role. You don't need to be an expert across every area, but you'll need to be comfortable working with data, confident using Excel and have a genuine eye for detail.
Just as importantly, you'll be someone who is naturally inquisitive, uses their initiative and is happy working autonomously. This is a small team, so someone who can get stuck in, ask questions, understand the bigger picture and use their common sense will fit well.
