Loom Talent is recruiting a Transport Planner on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer, at their major manufacturing site in Whittlesey. This is a hands-on planning role at the heart of the site's logistics operation, coordinating the efficient, cost-effective and compliant movement of product from the Whittlesey site to customers across the UK.

What you'll be doing:

  • Planning and scheduling daily vehicle routes and loads, liaising with hauliers and drivers to secure capacity and resolve day-to-day issues
  • Working closely with production, warehouse and customer service teams to align dispatch with stock availability and order priorities
  • Monitoring delivery performance and compliance (DVSA, drivers' hours, H&S), managing exceptions and keeping stakeholders informed

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a transport planning or logistics scheduling role, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG distribution
  • Working knowledge of UK transport compliance (drivers' hours, DVSA regulations, Working Time Directive), plus confident use of transport/routing software and Excel
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach suited to a fast-paced site
