Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent

Salary: OTE £43,000 (£31,000 to £37,000 per annum based on experience)

Hours: 40 hours between 08:30 – 17:00 (Mon‑Fri) and 08:00 – 12:00 (Saturday as per rota)

Job Overview: Buckinghamshire Jaguar Land Rover are recruiting for an MOT Tester to join their workshop. Working alongside a team of experienced technicians, you will carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conduct vehicle services, and perform additional repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out pre‑delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
  • Perform checks in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Fit any additional accessories requested by the customer
  • Conduct a vehicle health check and report further required work
  • Check vehicles’ lights, tyre pressure, mechanical and electrical components
  • Complete minor repairs on new and used vehicles
  • Conduct vehicle services and MOTs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
  • Take the customer’s vehicle on a road test to ensure faults are rectified
  • Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard

Qualifications: Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent motor industry experience (brand or non‑brand), a MOT licence, and a full and valid UK driving licence. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, supportive of the team, ambitious, eager to learn, and maintains the highest of standards for all vehicles that pass through our doors.
