This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to join our Financial Reporting team and play a key role in delivering high-quality statutory and non-statutory financial reporting across the Group.

Team Purpose

You will join the financial reporting arm of the finance function, working closely with colleagues across financial and non‑financial disciplines. The team ensures the Group meets its external reporting obligations and supports the business with clear, accurate financial information.

Role Purpose

To support the production of statutory and non‑statutory financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including the Group’s Annual Report & Accounts, subsidiary financial statements, interim results, and other management information.

About the Role

As a Group Financial Accountant, you will be an integral part of our financial reporting function, working both collaboratively within the wider team and autonomously when required. You’ll support the delivery of statutory financial statements, audit coordination, interim reporting and various improvement initiatives across the Group. This role offers exceptional exposure and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Statutory Audit Coordination: Work closely with external auditors to design an effective and efficient audit plan across the Group. Deliver outputs in line with agreed audit and reporting timetables. Coordinate and resolve outstanding audit queries. Prepare status reports tracking progress against key milestones.
  • Group & Subsidiary Financial Statements: Prepare statutory adjustments to management accounts, including IFRS 16, IAS 19 and tax. Review financial reporting submissions from divisions. Prepare statutory disclosure notes. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on front‑end disclosure for the Group Annual Report & Accounts and subsidiary financial statements.
  • Non‑Statutory & Internal Reporting: Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, controls and governance. Support the annual budgeting process. Prepare interim financial information. Assist with ad hoc financial projects as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Qualified chartered accountant (ACA/CA/ACCA)
  • Ideally trained within a Big‑4 or large accountancy firm
  • Strong audit background preferred
  • Experience in statutory accounts preparation and consolidation
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge
