Lookers Chester Nissan / Renault are recruiting for a PDI / Prep Technician to join their workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and performing additional repairs as needed. You will report to the Aftersales Manager, who will provide ongoing support to help you succeed. The role offers career progression and training opportunities, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training, to accelerate your career. Our Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics contribute to delivering first-class customer service and play a vital role within the Service team.

Responsibilities- Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
- Carrying out vehicle services in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines and customer requests
- Carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer
- Warranty repairs carried out per the manufacturer's guidelines and relevant write-up completed
- Taking the customer's vehicle out on a road test to ensure faults are rectified
- Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence
- Self-motivated with the ability to support your team, ambitious and eager to learn, and able to maintain high standards for all vehicles
- Brand accreditation training will be provided; previous brand experience is desirable but not essential
- Diagnostic, MOT and EV experience is desirable but not essential
