Contract Type: Permanent
Salary OTE up to £52,000 (Uncapped); £44,000 to £46,000 basic depending on qualifications, plus £3,000 Productivity Bonus and Time Saved Bonus Scheme
Hours: 42 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm
Lookers Newcastle Paint and Body Centre are recruiting for a MET Technician to join their fantastic facility. You will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle repairs using the latest technology. Here at Newcastle Paint and Body Centre, you will report to the accomplished Aftersales Manager, who will give on-going support to ensure you have the tools needed to succeed in your role. We can also offer you excellent career progression and training opportunities.
Our Bodyshop Technicians play a vital role within our Aftersales team by delivering first-class customer service every time. We want you to be part of our success. If you’re timed served or a qualified Bodyshop/Cosmetic Technician, whether you work in a dealer group or independent garage, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out a variety of cosmetic repairs including stripping, refurbishing and fitting parts to damaged vehicles
- Act as a multi-skilled Cosmetic Repair Technician undertaking all aspects of repairs as required
- Work effectively as part of a team of skilled Bodyshop Technicians
- Full use of PPE and adherence to health and safety requirements when carrying out repairs
- Adhere to manufacturer repair guidelines when carrying out repairs
The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Bodyshop/Cosmetic technician. You’ll be self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn, while being able to work to the highest standards and also require a full UK driving license. Having previous experience working with a brand would be advantageous, although not essential as supportive training can be provided.
