Contract Type: Permanent
Salary OTE up to £52,000 (Uncapped); £44,000 to £46,000 basic depending on qualifications, plus £3,000 Productivity Bonus and Time Saved Bonus Scheme
Hours: 42 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm
Lookers Newcastle Paint and Body Centre are recruiting for a MET Technician to join their fantastic facility. You will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle repairs using the latest technology. Here at Newcastle Paint and Body Centre, you will report to the accomplished Aftersales Manager, who will give ongoing support to ensure you have the tools needed to succeed in your role. We can also offer you excellent career progression and training opportunities.
Our Bodyshop Technicians play a vital role within our Aftersales team by delivering first-class customer service every time. We want you to be part of our success. If you’re timed served or a qualified Bodyshop/Cosmetic Technician, whether you work in a dealer group or independent garage, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out a variety of cosmetic repairs including stripping, refurbishing and fitting parts to damaged vehicles
- Act as a multi-skilled Cosmetic Repair Technician undertaking all aspects of repairs as required
- Work effectively as part of a team of skilled Bodyshop Technicians
- Full use of PPE and adherence to health and safety requirements when carrying out repairs
- Adhere to manufacturer repair guidelines when carrying out repairs
The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Bodyshop/Cosmetic technician. You’ll be self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn, while being able to work to the highest standards and also require a full UK driving license. Having previous experience working with a brand would be advantageous, although not essential as supportive training can be provided.
