South VWG Accounts
Salary: £33,250 to £37,250 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a one hour lunch
Contract Type: 6 month fixed term contract
We're recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join the team at VWG South Accounts. The Assistant Accountant is the backbone of any finance department. You will be required to use your knowledge and skills previously gained in an Accounts department to help and support the whole team whilst also effectively working alongside the Dealership Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial results are driven. Responsibilities:
- Daily Bank Reconciliations, covering the cash and bank postings in period of absence within your team
- Processing purchase ledger invoices
- Processing payments
- Daily banking
- Weekly review and analysis of all vehicle and cash sale debt
- Assisting the Dealership Accountant with month end related tasks
Qualifications / Experience:
You will be a hardworking Assistant Accountant with previous knowledge of Kerridge/ADP or similar systems. Motor trade experience would be advantageous although not essential. We are also open to quick learners who are looking to start their career in accounts as we are always looking for fresh new talent.
Excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic and a positive mental attitude is what is needed to succeed in this position.
