We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑driven Warranty Manager to join our fantastic team within the VWG South Accounts. In this role, you will take ownership of the full warranty process—ensuring all claims are submitted, processed, and tracked accurately in line with manufacturer policies. You’ll play a key part in delivering exceptional customer service, maximising warranty recovery, and safeguarding the dealership against audit risks. This position requires a confident communicator who can support colleagues with warranty guidance, maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, and uphold the highest standards of compliance and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Care
    • Advise colleagues on warranty coverage to support accurate communication with customers and correct claim submission.
    • Liaise with internal teams regarding the progress of warranty claims when required.
    • Respond to customer enquiries relating to warranty issues in a prompt and professional manner.
    • Check and explain warranty coverage to customers when appropriate.
  • Administration & Compliance
    • Process all warranty claims in accordance with manufacturer parameters.
    • Update systems with accurate claim codes, fault diagnoses, and customer complaint details.
    • Maintain accurate records of submissions, credits, rejections, and goodwill contributions.
    • Reconcile claims with manufacturer statements and report results to line managers and the accountant.
    • Check validated claims daily for errors and ensure corrections are made promptly.
    • Communicate recall campaigns and updates to warranty/goodwill procedures.
    • Coordinate vehicle recalls and ensure all affected customers are contacted.
    • Monitor manufacturer time limits to ensure compliance.
    • Verify warranty eligibility for all relevant vehicles.
    • Maintain quality control documentation to support audit readiness.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a technical background, ideally within the automotive industry, who brings strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail. You will be confident building positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and manufacturers, and comfortable communicating at all levels across Lookers and VWG.
