Buckinghamshire Jaguar Land Rover are recruiting for an MOT Tester to join their workshop. You will work alongside a team of experienced technicians, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services and performing repairs as required. You will report to the Aftersales Manager, who will provide ongoing support to help you succeed. The role offers opportunities for career progression and training, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
- Carrying out checks in line with manufacturers guidelines
- Fitting any additional accessories requested by the customer
- Vehicle health check and reporting any further work required
- Checks on the vehicle’s lights, tyre pressure, mechanical and electrical components
- Completing minor repairs on new and used vehicles
- Conducting vehicle service and MOTs in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
- Taking the customer’s vehicle out on a road test to ensure faults are rectified
- Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard
Qualifications
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent motor industry experience (brand or non-brand)
- MOT Licence
- Full and valid UK driving licence
- Self-motivated, able to support the team, ambitious and eager to learn, and able to maintain high standards for all vehicles
