Vehicle Technician / Mechanic | Role Type: Service Technician
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £33,000 – £45,000, DOE; plus OTE up to £6,000
Hours: 40 hours per week. 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am – 12:30pm
Glasgow Volvo is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join their team in a fantastic workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, carrying out vehicle repairs using the latest technology. You will learn from the service manager and develop your skills with the support of the team, with excellent career progression and training opportunities, including manufacturer accredited schemes and EV training.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
- Conducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
- Carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer
- Warranty repairs as per the manufacturer’s guidelines and relevant write up is complete
- Taking the customer’s vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
- Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard
Qualifications / Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following to be considered for this role: NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence. You’ll be self-motivated whilst being able to support your team, ambitious and eager to learn, and able to work to and maintain the highest standards for all vehicles.
Although previous Volvo experience is desirable, it is not essential to be considered, as brand accredited training will be provided. The same applies for any Diagnostic, MOT and EV experience.
