Stourbridge Mercedes-Benz is seeking a Used Car Sales Manager to lead an established department within a premium automotive franchise. This permanent role offers an industry-leading remuneration package, in-house training, and a structured career path.
Hours: 44 hours per week including a mix of Monday to Friday with one late finish, Saturday, and Sunday on a rota basis.
Salary: Up to £80,000 OTE (basic plus bonus) depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the full sales process from web inquiry to phone and showroom interactions.
- Managing staff performance through structured 121s, training, and development.
- Implementing department targets and brand KPIs.
- Buying vehicles and maintaining up-to-date stock pricing.
- Ensuring full FCA compliance within the Sales Department.
- Managing and owning the Customer Satisfaction process.
- Overseeing day-to-day showroom operations including vehicle valuations, workshop prep, imaging, and showroom presentation; coordinating with the divisional buyer, prep Technicians, detailers, and photography team to meet marketing standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- You will have prior experience in a similar premium automotive environment with a proven track record in transactional sales and delivering exceptional customer service.
- You should demonstrate experience in leading a highly motivated team and know how to get the best out of each team member.
- Experience monitoring financial performance against budget and identifying/addressing shortfalls promptly is essential.
- You will need the ability to understand finance and insurance product regulations and have excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
