Role: Workshop Controller at Stoke BMW.
Hours: Monday– Friday 8-6pm, Saturdays on rota basis.
Salary: £36,000 plus bonus opportunity.
An exciting opportunity has come up at Stoke BMW/MINI as we’re on the lookout for an experienced Workshop Controller to join our dynamic team. This role is the perfect opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Workshop Controller to advance their career. You will supervise and motivate our team of Technicians & Apprentices and pro-actively review, prioritise the daily workload. You will be a crucial part of our Aftersales Department and report into the Service Manager. You will receive ongoing support to ensure you have the tools needed to perform to the very best of your ability, and you will have opportunities for brand specific training to progress within the motor trade industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring the service and repair technicians achieve their daily targets. You will assist the Service Manager in ensuring the department provides the best possible service to customers and achieves agreed profits and retention levels. You will be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing relevant quality checks.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all working practices comply with company, DVSA, health and safety, and OEM policy.
- Making sure all service work is carried out correctly, competently and on time, with customer satisfaction in mind.
- Maintaining relationships with the vehicle manufacturer and providing support to Technicians during repairs to ensure high standards are achieved and maintained within the workshop and surrounding areas.
- Liaising with colleagues and other departments to ensure a top quality service for customers.
- Scheduling work to meet customer needs, considering workshop targets, job complexity, and parts availability.
- Assisting with technical challenges by supporting the team and writing technical reports.
