Lookers, BMW Stoke are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their fantastic workshop. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conduct vehicle services, and perform additional repairs as authorised by customers. You will report to Aftersales Manager Leanne Cresswell and receive ongoing support to perform at the highest standard. Excellent career progression and training opportunities, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training, are available.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
  • Conduct vehicle services in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
  • Perform additional repairs once authorised by the customer
  • Complete warranty repairs per manufacturer guidelines and complete relevant write‑ups
  • Take the customer’s vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
  • Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard

Qualifications

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • Motor industry experience (brand or non‑brand) and a full, valid UK driving licence
  • Self‑motivated, supportive of team, ambitious, eager to learn, and able to maintain the highest standards for all vehicles
  • Previous brand experience desirable but not essential; brand accreditation training will be provided
  • Diagnostic, MOT and EV experience desirable but not essential
