Salary: Up to £40,600 OTE (including basic between £30,000 to £32,000 depending on qualifications and experience, plus a bonus of £6,600 UNCAPPED and an additional £2k for EV qualification!)
Hours: 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 18:00, and 1 in 3 Saturdays 08:30 - 12:30
Lookers Stockport Kia are recruiting a Service Technician and MOT Tester to join their workshop. You will carry out vehicle health checks, services, and repairs, working alongside experienced technicians. You will report to the Service Manager and benefit from career progression and training, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology.
- Conducting vehicle services according to manufacturer guidelines and customer requests.
- Performing additional repairs with customer authorization.
- Completing warranty repairs per manufacturer guidelines.
- Road testing vehicles to ensure faults are rectified.
- Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard.
- Carrying out MOT tests in line with ministry guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience, and a full UK driving license. MOT certification is desirable or willingness to work towards it. You should be self-motivated, supportive of your team, ambitious, eager to learn, and committed to high standards.
