Newcastle Nissan and Changan

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to ÂŁ80k OTE (including basic plus bonus)

Hours: 44 hours – Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 6.00 pm (with a day off mid‑week), Sat 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and Sun 11.00 am to 3.00 pm (rota basis)

About the Role

  • Lead the established dealership department on behalf of Nissan and Changan.
  • Act as a role model for customer‑service excellence and coach the team to do the same.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day showroom operations, including vehicle valuations, sales, workshop prep, imaging and showroom presentation.
  • Collaborate with the divisional buyer, prep technicians, detailers and photography team to deliver consistent marketing standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales process from web inquiry to phone and showroom.
  • Drive staff performance through structured 1:1s, training and development.
  • Implement department targets and brand KPIs.
  • Handle vehicle buying and maintain up‑to‑date stock pricing.
  • Ensure full FCA compliance within the sales department.
  • Own and improve customer satisfaction metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior experience in a similar premium automotive environment with a proven track record of transactional sales and exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high‑performing team.
  • Strong financial acumen: monitoring performance against budget, identifying shortfalls and acting quickly.
  • Full knowledge of finance and insurance product regulations.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • UK driving licence essential.
