Overview
Panel Technician role at Lookers Motor Group Limited, Glasgow Bodyshop. This position involves repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer’s specifications within a state-of-the-art Bodyshop. The role is based in Glasgow Bodyshop with hours and salary details as stated below.
Responsibilities
- Carry out a variety of panel repairs including Jig Work using the latest Car-O-Liner equipment, with involvement in strip and refit on smaller repairs.
- Work effectively as part of a team of skilled Bodyshop Technicians.
- Full use of PPE and adherence to health and safety requirements during repairs.
- Adhere to manufacturer repair guidelines when carrying out repairs.
- Liaise with internal colleagues to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
- Ensure administration or supporting documentation is produced in line with company process.
- Work efficiently to meet defined repair completion times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role and completion of a technician modern apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of automotive systems and materials required for the repair process.
- Honest and diligent approach with the ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Full and valid UK driving licence.
Hours & Salary
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm.
Leading basic salary of £46,000, with a bonus opportunity to earn up to £52,000.
